The Living Centre: procuring an operator

The Crick is looking for an organisation to help it improve the health and wellbeing of people living in the local community.

From the Crick's inception, engaging with the local community and being a good neighbour has been a priority. To help achieve its goals, the Crick has developed plans for an exciting new venture: a community space in the Crick, independent from the institute - called the Living Centre.

The Crick intends to procure an operator for the Living Centre and the procurement process has now begun.

Hannah Camm, the Crick's Community Engagement Manager, said: "The Somers Town ward is among the most deprived 25% of neighbourhoods in London and there is a shocking inequality in life expectancy compared to other parts of the city. The Living Centre is intended to help address this and it's essential it serves the needs of the people who live here.

"We are seeking experienced organisations and are looking for ideas which are bold and imaginative but, more importantly, are relevant to Somers Town residents and fill a gap that isn't met by other local services."

Organisations who are interested in submitting a tender for the Living Centre contract can find more information by emailing tenders@crick.ac.uk
