PhD Programme

Applications for the 2018 Crick PhD Programme will open in early October 2017, and interviews will be held 22-24 January 2018.

The Crick PhD programme, which is designed to attract the brightest scientific minds from around the world, presents a fabulous opportunity for highly motivated and exceptionally talented individuals to embark on their career in biomedical research.

At present, the Crick has more than 200 PhD students at various stages of their four-year PhDs. The students contribute to the international flavour of the Crick, with many students from elsewhere in the EU or from further afield. The energy and enthusiasm of the student population are a vital part of Crick's research community, and the comprehensive Crick PhD programme ensures that all students have strong future career prospects in science.

Dr Francesca Ciccarelli

A 4-year PhD studentship is currently available within the Francis Crick Institute under the supervision of Dr Francesca Ciccarelli. The PhD is sponsored by the Cancer Research UK KHP Centre. The successful applicant will be based in Dr Ciccarelli's lab at the Crick but will be recruited via King's College London and will follow a King's PhD Programme.
