Beth Montague-Hellen

Head of Library and Information Services

Beth initially trained as a Bioinformatician and Geneticist. She obtained her PhD at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School before completing postdoctoral appointments in both the UK and USA. Subsequently training as a Librarian at the University of Sheffield, Beth has until recently been a Senior Research Librarian, specialising in Open Research, at the University of Nottingham.

In addition to Open Research, Beth has a strong interest in EDI and is currently writing a book on best EDI practices in Libraries. She jointly won the Royal Society Athena Prize in 2020 for her work setting up the  LGBTQ+ STEMinar.
