Activity pack prize draw terms and conditions

  1. The Francis Crick Institute Limited (the “Crick”) is running a prize draw open to all UK residents aged 16 years or over (except members of the Crick’s Public Engagement team and their immediate family). To enter the prize draw, you must return a completed feedback form for the Crick Activity Pack either by sending it to us using the FREEpost envelope provided or by completing the survey online at the following URL: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Crick_Activity_Pack. Only one entry is allowed per person. 
  2. The closing date of the prize draw is 23.59 on 30 September 2020. Feedback forms which are received by us after this time will not be accepted.
  3. The Crick accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, or not successfully completed, whether due to a technical fault of any kind or any other reason.
  4. Three winners will be selected by random draw, conducted by a member of the Crick’s Public Engagement team, from all entries which are received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Each winner will receive an e-Amazon voucher to the value of £30 (“Prize”). The winners shall be the owners of the email address included in the selected winning entries.  
  5. The winners will be notified by email (using details provided at entry) before 15 October 2020.The winner must respond within 14 days to confirm their acceptance of the Prize. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being notified, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and the Crick shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. 
  6. The Prize will be sent by email within 14 days of the winner responding confirming acceptance of the Prize.
  7. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. 
  8. The decision of the Crick regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  9. By completing a survey and entering the prize draw, you give the Crick permission for all or part of your survey response to be published on the Crick’s websites and on any social media account controlled by the Crick, and you grant the Crick a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and publish your entry in electronic format and to adapt the entry to enable such publication (including to crop or otherwise edit it for such purposes), and you hereby irrevocably waive, for the benefit of the Crick, all moral rights in the entry to which you are entitled. If you object to us publishing your survey answers, please contact us at engage@crick.ac.uk.  
  10. The Crick must make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, the Crick will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails engage@crick.ac.uk or writes to the Crick within one month after the closing date stated in condition 5. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact us at engage@crick.ac.uk. In such circumstances, the Crick must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  11. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Crick reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. 
  12. The Crick reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
  13. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Crick or its agents will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  14. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Crick’s privacy policy. See also condition 9 with regard to publishing survey responses and condition 10 with regard to the announcement of winners.
  15. The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
