Generation of cell diversity in the brain

Research opportunity for a postdoctoral clinical fellow in Francois Guillemot's lab.

Introduction

My lab is interested in how stem cells generate differentiated progenies while maintaining their numbers during development, adulthood and ageing.

We study stem cells of the nervous system in mice and in human neural cell cultures and we investigate how transcription factors interact with signalling molecules and the chromatin to regulate stem cell fate decisions.

We are particularly interested in how disruption of brain stem cell activity during development or in adults contributes to neurological disorders.
