Metals in medicine

Research opportunity for a postdoctoral clinical fellow in Jeannine Hess’s lab.

The project

We are a chemistry research group committed to find new drugs for infectious diseases. We are applying rational design strategies to evolve small molecules into high affinity binders.

A particular interest of the group is the incorporation of metals into our small molecule scaffolds as they can trigger specific processes that can kill pathogens. We are excited to align our fundamental medicinal chemistry research to problems that are relevant in our current healthcare settings.
