Lab placements

Introduction

You can only apply for a placement in a research lab if you are aged 16-19 at the start of the placement.

There are three ways to apply, largely depending on when you are available.

We encourage you to apply for a placement through the Social Mobility Foundation or Nuffield Foundation because their programmes are more extensive and provide extra support such as mentoring and interview skills training.

To check if you are eligible for a placement at the Crick through any of these routes, take a look at the criteria
