Work experience placements are available in areas such as IT, reception services, public engagement and education.
Depending on the nature of the work, some of these placements are only available if you are aged 16 or older at the start of the placement for reasons of health and safety. You should check the age restriction for each placement before applying.
Details of each placement are described in individual job descriptions shown at the bottom of the page. Job description pages are added as new placements become available, so you should check this page regularly. Job description pages will only be displayed when placements are available.
Each job description page includes:
- the dates of the placement
- the application deadline
- the age restriction
- a description of the work
How to apply
To apply for a placement, you should fill in the application form, which requires a brief reference form your teacher or work experience coordinator. A link to this form can be found on each job description page. We encourage you to apply for as many placements as you find interesting.
We will acknowledge applications by email and be in touch after the application deadline to let you know if you have been successful.
As the number of placements is limited, we can't guarantee that everyone who applies will receive work experience at the Crick. We, therefore, recommend that you also consider applying for work experience with other organisations.
All the following placements are only available to secondary school students who attend a state school in Camden, or who live in Camden and attend a state school elsewhere/are home schooled.
