This placement is with MSD, a biopharmaceutical company with a lab based within the Crick. Please read more about our Industry Partnerships on our website.
We are looking for motivated, scientifically curious students to undertake a week long placement at MSD's London Discovery sites based in Kings Cross. During this week, you will learn about early discovery activities, drug discovery processes and how MSD work as an integrated team. As you work alongside subject matter experts, you will have the opportunity to develop key skills, gain valuable experience and network with professionals across the organisation.
The placement will take place across MSD's three Discovery sites based in the Knowledge Quarter of King's Cross, London; their labs within the Crick, their labs within the London Bioscience Innovation Centre (NW1 0NH) and their St Pancras Square office (NW1 4AG). MSD's research focuses mostly on neurodegeneration and ageing. Biologists, Pharmacologists and Chemists collaborate on various drug discovery projects, enabling research which is working towards new medicines for patient benefit. Students will also have the opportunity to work with the Business Development & Licensing team, to understand more about how our business operates and what drives decision making in regards to new and existing programmes.

The selected student will ideally be interested in; Biology, Chemistry or Pharmacology
