Gallery Host/Catering Assistant
Key information
At the Francis Crick Institute’s Manby Gallery, visitors can enjoy both free exhibitions and a welcoming café space. The café is a key part of the gallery offer and critical in growing our gallery’s community.
The gallery host/catering assistant position is a unique and vital one – welcoming visitors to the gallery's exhibition and making the café as inviting as possible. This unique role combines museum visitor services along with food and beverage service responsibilities, making this an ideal role for candidates looking for early career opportunities in the museum and gallery sector.
We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, someone who has a genuine interest in customer service excellence and providing a great experience for gallery visitors. Catering experience is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will report in to our catering service partner, Graysons, but will work closely with and be trained by the Francis Crick Institute's Exhibitions team on visitor services duties and any information and skills specific to each exhibition.
The role is part-time Wednesday to Saturday, with the option to work full-time, splitting your time between the gallery and the Crick's staff restaurant.
