Dangoor Walk opens to the public

Dangoor walk

Dangoor Walk runs along the south side of the Francis Crick Institute, connecting Midland Road and Ossulston Street.

We are pleased to announce that it is now open to the public, for use by both pedestrians and cyclists.

The path is named after the Dangoor family, in honour of their generous philanthropic support for the Francis Crick Institute and Cancer Research UK.

A Jewish Iraqi, Dr Naim Dangoor originally came to London to study engineering. After building a successful business empire in Iraq, Dr Dangoor and his wife Renée, crowned Miss Baghdad in 1947, were forced to flee to the UK in the 1960s, because of anti-Semitic persecution.
