Crick Chat on antibiotic resistance

Our latest Crick Chat took place on 23 June 2016 at the Star of Kings pub as part of the MRC Festival of Medical Research.

The evening focussed on antibiotic resistance; an escalating problem that is threatening to take us back to the dark ages of medicine, where routine surgeries and minor infections become deadly once again.  The discussion featured two expert speakers; Luiz Pedro Carvalho, a Group Leader from the Crick, and Emily Wise, a doctor currently based at University College London Hospital. It was chaired by Julie Marczak, Head of Executive Coordination at the Crick.
