Our Community Chest scheme was set-up in 2011 to support community-led projects that help improve health and wellbeing in the local area. Through this scheme, we provide grants of up to £3,000 to get local projects off the ground or develop existing activities.
So far, we have supported 70 local projects to run creative, educational and physical activities which have benefitted more than 6,000 local residents. These include, children’s playwriting courses, boxing classes for young people and employability workshops.
We have also joined forces with the London Wildlife Trust and local gardening groups to create our own wildlife-friendly garden on the corner of Ossulston St and Brill Place. It brings together staff and residents and we are always keen to welcome more volunteers.
