Programme details
The programme kicks off with an intensive two day bootcamp in person at the Francis Crick Institute followed by a five-month programme of weekly workshops (a mix of in person and virtual, generally on Tuesdays).
The curriculum covers a diverse array of topics tailored to support the strategic growth of early-stage companies in the data-driven health space. It includes defining business models, fundraising strategy and pitch training, building your team and board, intellectual property and regulatory strategy, UK and international commercialisation, data access, leadership skills and more.
In addition to our curriculum, we facilitate introductions and mentoring with a hand-picked network of experts, investors and industry. The programme culminates in a Demo Day in June, where companies pitch their innovations to potential investors and partners, including VCs, angel investors and pharma.
Founder testimonials
Participants at KQ Labs induction day
"KQ Labs is uniquely placed at the intersection between academia and industry, thus the experience and understanding of both fields is extremely reassuring as they understand the challenges of developing healthcare products while also teaching us how to translate our research to the corporate world."
"KQ Labs was a fantastic experience: despite being around the block a few times as a founder, I learned a lot from the programme. The team were genuinely and passionately interested in our development and progress."
