Abdul Zafar

Visiting Student

Abdul studied Chemistry for his MSci at Imperial College London, including an industrial placement in organic synthesis at Syngenta. This culminated in a Masters project in the Schumann lab at the Crick, where he employed chemical genetics tools to probe the substrate specificities of glycosyltransferases.

Abdul is currently on the Institute of Chemical Biology PhD programme at Imperial. He has returned to the Schumann lab to investigate the roles of and interdependencies between glycosyltransferases throughout the secretory pathway.
