Adam Sateriale

Group Leader

Adam is a group leader at the Francis Crick Institute and his research focuses on the host-pathogen interactions of human parasites. Adam grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont, USA, and attended the University of Vermont where he earned dual degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He stayed on to obtain a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology, specializing in Parasitology. 

For his postdoctoral studies, Adam joined the lab of Boris Striepen, University of Pennsylvania, USA, where he developed molecular tools for a notoriously intractable parasite, Cryptosporidium. During this time, he was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award and a Pathway to Independence Award from the National Institutes of Health.
