Ahmed Abdelbaki

Postdoctoral Project Research Scientist

Ahmed obtained his B.Sc in Biological Sciences from Zagazig University, Egypt, and then MSc in Molecular Biology at Georgia State University. He completed his Ph.D. in Cell Biology in Lindon Lab at the University of Cambridge, where he worked on the contribution of ubiquitin-mediated signaling to the outcomes of mitotic cell division.

Ahmed joined Niakan's lab in 2020 to work on understanding the irreversible commitment to trophectoderm (TE) lineage in human embryos. He aims to perform in vivo lineage tracing to elucidate developmental trajectories of individual cells.
