My interests lie at the interface between cell biology and biophotonics, and I use advanced microscopy techniques coupled with innovative image data analysis methods to elucidate the molecular processes of homeostasis and disease.
I completed my PhD in the Physics Department at King's College London in 2018, and am since then working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Sahai lab at the Francis Crick Institute.
Here, I am investigating how populations of EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer cells respond to targeted therapy, by combining long-term timelapse imaging, fluorescent bionsensors of oncogenic signalling, and high-throughput screening approaches. The aim is to understand how the transition between drug sensitivity, drug tolerance and eventually resistance occurs in a tumour, and how these models can inform on patient outcomes, to ultimately design better cancer treatments.
