Baptiste joined the “Host-Pathogen Interactions in Tuberculosis lab” in February 2024 after completing his PhD in the “Institut de Recherche en Infectiologie de Montpellier” in France. His research focused on the role of autophagy proteins on HIV-1 entry in CD4+ T lymphocytes.
His work in the lab aims to understand the cellular states of macrophages upon infection with the human pathogen Mycobacterium tuberculosis and the consequences for bacterial control by macrophages.
Outside from the lab:
Baptiste is interested in sports, discovering new music, tasting cheese and often go to movie theatre in his free time.
