Bradley Jamieson

Postdoctoral Fellow

Bradley received his Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Anatomy and Physiology (BSc [Hons] First class; MSc [Distinction]) from the University of Otago, NZ, studying the electrical activity of neurons that control stress. He then joined Drs Richard Piet (Kent State University, OH) and Rebecca Campbell (University of Otago, NZ) for a PhD at the Centre for Neuroendocrinology, where he worked on the neural mechanisms by which the biological clock times hormone release associated with ovulation.

In 2020, he moved to the Francis Crick Institute to work as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr Jonny Kohl, where he is studying the mechanisms of care behaviour from an ontological and postnatal-development perspective. He is particularly interested in combining research in neuroendocrinology and systems neuroscience to gain a broader understanding of how hormones (or lack thereof) can influence brain function and behaviour.
