Claudia Gerri

VISITING SCIENTIST

Claudia obtained her BSc in Biological Sciences and MSc in Molecular Biology at the University of Milan, Italy. She gained her Ph.D. in Developmental Genetics in Didier Stainier Lab (Germany), where she worked on how hypoxia and HIF pathway regulate cardiovascular development and haematopoiesis in zebrafish embryos. In 2017, she joined the Niakan Lab as a postdoctoral training fellow.

Claudia is interested in understanding the species-specific molecular mechanisms underlying cell fate decisions during mammalian development.
