Cyril started his PhD in the Host-Pathogen lab in 2023. Prior to this, he completed an integrated Master’s degree in Cell Biology at UCL. During this period, he studied links between alterations in interorganelle contact sites and disease progression in hepatocytes through confocal and electron microscopy approaches. His PhD project will involve studying the dynamics of Mtb-mediated lysosomal membrane damage and repair and the role of the PD kinase LRRK2 in this process.

Outside of science, his main hobbies include reading books, watching films and listening to rock and heavy metal.
