Daniel is an enzymologist who’s happy to be behind a computer as much as at the bench. He completed his BSc in Biochemistry at the University of York and is currently a joint PhD student between Luiz Pedro Carvalho at The Crick & Edina Rosta at UCL. Daniel takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding enzyme function, utilising a mixture of classic biochemical experiments as well as more modern computational simulation methods. In particular, Daniel investigates orphan enzymes within one-carbon, folate metabolism within Mycobacteria.
