Fabian Frohlich

Group Leader

Fabian Fröhlich has expertise in the mathematical modeling of molecular processes, including experience in building, training and validating large-scale models and combining them with statistical and machine learning approaches.

Fabian received a BSc in Mathematics, in 2011, and a MSc in Mathematics, in 2013, from Technical University of Munich. He was awarded a fellowship through the Graduate School of Quantitative Biosciences Munich to complete his PhD at the Technical University of Munich in 2018, working with Fabian Theis and Jan Hasenauer at the Institute for Computational Biology at Helmholtz Centre Munich.

In 2018, Fabian started his postdoctoral work with Peter Sorger at the Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School, Boston. In 2019, he was awarded a Human Frontier Science Long-Term Fellowship, of which he used the repatriation year to work with Julio Saez-Rodriguez at the Institute for Computational Biomedicine at the University Hospital Heidelberg in 2022. In 2023 he will establish his own laboratory as group leader at the Francis Crick Institute.
