He originally trained as a mathematician at Bristol University and Wadham College/Mathematical Institute Oxford. He now works as a statistician, providing scientists and bioinformaticians at the Crick with expert advice on how best to analyse data arising from their experiments: from traditional biostatistics applications such as survival analysis, through to complex transcriptomics of single cell experiments.
