Gregorio Alanis Lobato

Gregorio obtained a BEng in Computer Systems Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico and MSc and PhD degrees in Computational Biology from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. He then moved to the Johannes Gutenberg University in Germany for his first postdoc before joining the group of Kathy Niakan at The Crick.

Gregorio is interested in the protein and gene networks that confer an identity to the different cell types that emerge during embryonic development. He resorts to different data analysis tools (machine learning, network science and systems biology) to map and inspect these networks.
