Gregory Mashanov

I graduated Ural's State University (Sverdlovsk, USSR) in 1984 and I obtained my PhD at Moscow State University in 1997. I worked in Medical Research institutions in Russia, University of York (UK), National institute for Medical Research (London), and the Crick Institute nowadays. My research interests are: Unconventional myosins. Single molecule imaging in live cells (myosins, GPCRs, ion channels and other bio-molecules). I develop software for automatic detection and tracking of individual fluorescent molecules (see www.mashanov.uk) and also use object-oriented simulation modelling to verify our experimental findings (virtual cell imaging).
