Hrvoje obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Zagreb. At the CRG-Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona, he conducted his master thesis internship where he worked on the evolution of peroxisomes. He started his PhD in September, 2019 as a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow as part of the Computational Oncology TRaining (CONTRA) innovative training network.
The topic of Hrvoje’s PhD is the identification and impact of clonal and subclonal driver alterations on cancer progression. He is specifically interested in the prediction of cancer driver alterations and their clonality from genomic data to develop and compare different models of cancer prognosis across patients and cancer types.
