John Williamson

John works with experimental collaborators to analyse and model growing epithelial tissues using the tools of physics. He is also interested in the physics of lipid membranes, and received his PhD for research into colloidal fluids. Alongside his research, John is an active communicator of science and has contributed to the Crick’s public exhibitions. He recently gave the Institute of Physics Summer Lecture, explaining ‘The Physics of Life’, and was interviewed by Mike Corcoran for Wrexham’s ‘Creative Futures’ event, discussing the links between art and science, and his parallel career as a musician.
