Matthew Fittall

Matt studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge (2005), involving a research project into the apoptosis of embryonic stem cells, supervised by Christine Watson, before completing clinical medical training in Oxford (2008). After core medical training at University College Hospital London and MRCP (2011) he began an NIHR academic clinical fellowship and specialty training in clinical oncology in South London. This led to a research project into triple negative breast cancer antibody therapy development, supervised by Sophia Karagiannis and Andrew Tutt at King’s College London, contributing to an MSc in Oncology at the ICR (Distinction, 2016). After completing FRCR (Gold award, 2016), he began doctoral study with Peter Van Loo and Adrienne Flanagan exploring the genomics and heterogeneity of bone tumours.
