Michele Mishto

Senior Group Leader

Group leader Michele Mishto has expertise in the function and biochemical activity of proteasomes, in conventional and unconventional antigen processing and presentation, as well as other immunobiology area. He develops multi-disciplinary projects that combine in silico, in vitro, in cellula and in vivo strategies.

Michele obtained his diploma in 2000 and PhD in 2005 at University of Bologna. He worked as research associate and project PI at the Institute for Biochemistry at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin from 2005 to 2017. He was appointed as group leader and senior lecturer in Immunobiology at King’s College London in 2017, and he was promoted to Reader in 2021. He was awarded a laboratory secondment to the Francis Crick Institute in 2021.
