Nathalia De Vasconcelos

Nathalia concluded her BsC in Biology and MsC in Molecular Biology studies at the University of Brasilia, Brazil. In 2018, she obtained her PhD at Ghent University/VIB, Belgium, in the lab of Dr Lamkanfi, where she characterized the mechanisms of an inflammatory cell death, pyroptosis, tipically observed in macrophages after activation of inflammasome-forming intracellular pattern recognition receptors. She joined the lab of Dr Papayannopoulos in 2019 as a Postdoctoral Training Fellow, where she currently works on the disregulation of innate immune cells during sepsis.
