Nathalie Legrave

DEPUTY HEAD OF METABOLOMICS

After studying organic chemistry, Nathalie obtained her PhD degree in 2013 from the University of Nice (France). During her PhD studies, she was interested in the identification, the synthesis and the pharmaceutical uses of bioactive molecules found in marine sponges from New-Caledonia and the Mediterranean Sea. She acquired a broad range of skills in analytical chemistry including mass spectrometry-based instrumentations and NMR spectroscopy. Thereafter, she developed her competencies in metabolomics during two research fellowships (Rennes-France, Aberdeen-UK). Since 2017, Nathalie has been working at the Francis Crick Institute on the metabolomics platform. She is using and developing new tools for metabolomics research including different instrumentations (LC-MS, GC-MS and NMR). Her interest covers various areas (including cancer metabolism, mitochondrial dysfunction).
