Richard's research looks at the function of progenitor cells in the hypothalamus - part of the brain that controls the secretion of important hormones that control growth, stress, lactation, reproduction and metabolism.

Richard did his PhD at the University of Manchester and at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) in Singapore.
