Richard Stone

PRINCIPAL LABORATORY RESEARCH SCIENTIST

Richard has been working as a Biomedical Scientist (Histopathology/Cellular Pathology) since 2002, joining Hammersmith Hospital (Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where he completed his training and subsequent HCPC registration.

In 2009 Richard was invited to join the Experimental Histopathology Laboratory at the Cancer Research UK's London Research Institute (Lincoln's Inn Fields).

In 2016 Richard departed to start his own consultancy company, project managing the fit-out and set-up of a private diagnostic pathology laboratory in the Harley Street district. He was subsequently employed as part of the management, successfully securing Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration and the internationally recognised UKAS (ISO 15189:2012) accreditation.

In 2019 Richard returned to research, joining the Experimental Histopathology Laboratory at The Francis Crick Institute as a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist.
