Tom Davy is a graduate in Genetics from Aberystwyth University, and is motivated in questions of evolutionary genetics. He has been involved in numerous projects ranging from sampling algae from the Greenland icecap, to investigatigng ancient bacteria within amber, alongside understanding protein evolution in archaic hominins, the latter serving as his dissertation for his undergraduate degree.
He is currently addressing questions in evolutionary functional biology of hominins, where his project involves utilising ancient genetic data to understand functional adaptation and evolutionary processes at the molecular level through time.
