Yi Ting Loo

Yi Ting recently completed her PhD at the EPSRC Mathematics of Real-World Systems (MathSys) CDT, Warwick Mathematics Institute. During her PhD, she studied the role of morphogen signalling in pattern formation and cell fate acquisitions during tissue development. She worked on the movement and diffusion of morphogens in a tortuous extracellular environment. Working closely with experimentalists, her PhD involved image analysis and mathematical/ computational modelling. Currently, her research interest lies in scaling mechanisms of morphogen patterning and its role in the robustness of patterning in varying organism sizes.
