Dr Zhen Li was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in 2010 and then started a PhD project studying carbohydrate-protein interactions using electrochemistry methods in ECUST.
In 2015, Zhen started to work as a Research Associate in the Glycosciences Laboratory at Imperial College London on the development of mucin-type O-glycan microarrays.
Since 2019, Zhen is working in the Chemical Glycobiology Lab at the Francis Crick Institute. Zhen’s favourite glycans are the blood group antigens. Zhen is also a keen marathon runner in her spare time.
