We are always interested in receiving applications from outstanding researchers with an excellent track record and a clear commitment to understand the biochemical and metabolic basis of mycobacterial biology and infection. In some cases, we might be able to sponsor applications for external fellowships. In all cases, a strong background in chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology as well as first-author publication(s) in a peer-reviewed international journal are essential. Students interested in a PhD position in the Carvalho lab have to apply to the central Crick PhD programme, whenever our projects are advertised. Prior research experience and a strong background in chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology are essential.
