We are a dedicated hub for designing, building and refining next‑generation antibody‑based biotherapies.
Our mission is to accelerate human discovery research from UCL and the Crick community, converting mechanistic insight into deployable therapeutic candidates through rapid, data‑driven cycles of engineering and evaluation.
Leveraging unique datasets such as TRACERx and other clinical cohorts, we use microenvironment‑guided principles to identify tractable immune vulnerabilities across cancer and inflammatory disease. We advance these targets through RACER, our platform for rational antibody construction and evaluation, integrating in silico modelling, structural biology and chemical biology to shape mono‑ and multispecific molecules with optimised biological function.
Our work is validated through human‑relevant systems – including advanced in vitro, in vivo and patient‑derived tissue models developed across the Quezada Lab.
Positioned within the Crick’s interdisciplinary ecosystem, the IRBD team aims to accelerate the 'development' phase of the discovery‑development‑delivery continuum, enabling rapid translation of insights into therapies with genuine patient impact.
