Alison has 18 years of drug discovery experience in both academia and industry, with the last 15 years at the biopharmaceutical company UCB, based in Slough, UK.
She has worked on the discovery of novel chemical and biologic molecules across multiple therapeutic areas – immunology, oncology, and neuroscience. Her experience includes leading multidisciplinary projects from hit identification to clinical candidate molecule selection, as well as providing strategic leadership on translational research activities within the immunology therapeutic area.
Alison has worked with numerous collaborators across industry, biotech and academia. Previously she was a member of the MRC Molecular and Cellular Medicine Board (MCMB), and now sits on the MRC Experimental Medicine panel.
