Anuradha Tarafdar

Translational Scientist

Anuradha (Ana) joined the Francis Crick Institute (FCI) in 2024 as a Translational Scientist. 
 
Before joining FCI, Ana was a Principal Scientist at Cancer Research Horizons in Cambridge. There, she dedicated her expertise to early-stage drug discovery projects aimed at identifying novel targets and mechanisms with the potential to transform clinical care for cancer patients.
 
Ana brings over a decade of comprehensive expertise in both in vitro and in vivo translational models, a foundation she built across both academic and industry settings. Her work is driven by a deep passion for understanding complex disease mechanisms and discovering new therapeutic interventions.
 
Ana holds a MSc with distinction in Biotechnology and a PhD in hemato-oncology from the University of Ulster in Norther Ireland. She completed her PhD research with an honorary placement at the Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, University of Glasgow.
