Ashleigh Howes

Translational Scientist

Ashleigh joined the Francis Crick Institute in 2024 as a Translational Scientist.

Prior to the Crick, Ashleigh served as an Associate Director in the Immunology Research Unit at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) where she led programs on target identification and validation. She also previously held postdoctoral positions within the Crick-GSK Biomedical Linklabs and at Imperial College London where she worked on elucidating biological mechanisms of genetically validated targets relevant to autoimmune and respiratory diseases.

Ashleigh holds a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, an MSc (Distinction) in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD in Immunology from UCL, completed at the National Institute for Medical research.
