Light Microscopy : Introduction to Light Microscopy techniques

Images produced by the light microscopy team at The Crick.

Crick Light Microscopy Lecture Series 2024

This series of lectures will examine in depth important topics in light microscopy, image analysis, and image data management. They are only open to people who currently work at the Crick.

This series of  lectures will examine in depth important topics in light microscopy including Magnification and Image Formation, Fluorescence, Optical Sectioning, Confocal and Multiphoton Microscopies, Lightsheet Microscopy, Principles of Image Analysis with Fiji, and Data Management with OMERO. The series is suitable for anyone (especially new starters) wanting to learn more about these techniques. Lectures do not need to be attended in order, although they do tend to build on each other.
