Tissue engineering, Microfabrication and Microfluidics Equipment

  • Photolithography: a photoresist station with spin coaters and hotplates for use with our maskless microwriter (DMO ML3). This allows fabrication of moulds with features of approx. 2-250um dimensions.
  • Plasma cleaner (Tergeo-EM) for bonding and surface activation.
  • UVO cleaner (Jelight) for UV micropatterning.
  • PDMS station (Thinky ARE-250) for soft lithography.
  • Clean assembly laminar flow hood (Air Science Purair LF 48).
  • Microfluidic station: Fluigent setup, various flow control pump systems (pressure-based, peristaltic, syringe, etc.), inverted microscope coupled with high speed camera.

  • Picolitre dispensing system (PolyPico PicoPrecise).
  • Extrusion based bioprinting station (CellInk BIO X6) within tissue culture hood.
  • DLP bioprinting station (CellInk BIONOVA X) within tissue culture hood.
  • Cell 3D bioprinter (Fluicell Biopixlar) for dynamic cell and reagent deposition.
  • Hydrogel structuration and in-situ photopatterning (Alvéole Primo).

  • Rheometer (TA Instruments HR20) for characterisation of material properties.
  • 3D Optical Profiler (Sensofar Neox) for quality control of microfabricated devices.
