Crick Lates

Crick Late: Discovery

Crick Lates are themed evening events that give you the chance delve into many areas of Crick research. From getting hands-on with state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, to crafting activities and inspiring talks, there's something for everyone, no matter how much science you know.

Expect music, food and drink, and lots of fascinating conversations with our friendly scientists.

The first Crick Late was held on 3 May and explored discovery science at the Crick. The jam-packed programme included 14 different hands-on activities, 8 talks, our science buskers and music from NanoProjetions. Visitors had the chance to shock their friends using the power of their brain, see zebrafish embryos develop under smartphone microscopes and discover the power of CRISPR technology. Talks included how the Crick Lab was designed to make discoveries possible and how science is funded.

Here's a film showing a snapshot of the evening:

Our next Crick Late will be in March 2018.
