The answers
Video explainer
The science
- We are made of cells and they need instructions to work.
- Instructions are genes, which are made of DNA. But the useful bits are hidden among gibberish.
- Our cells have to find, cut and paste the right words within the instructions to build messages that make sense
- This process is known as splicing and the spliceosome the bit of the cell that is responsible for this job.
