Fundamentals of Flow Cytometry

This course will cover the fundamentals of flow cytometry and is aimed at those new to cytometry or who want to expand or consolidate their knowledge. The course can be run as either a whole day or as two half-day sessions to be flexible as possible with attendees schedules. The first session will cover fluorescence and fluorochromes, the workings of a flow cytometer and fluorescence compensation. The second session will look at panel design, sample preparation, running the sample, and data analysis and presentation. At the end of the course delegates will have a greater understanding of the principal tools used in a flow cytometry experiment and an appreciation of the factors that need to be considered to run a successful experiment. The course will be online and interactive with a series of polls and exercises designed to reinforce the learning objectives. Delegates will be sent course materials 24hours before the course.
