Art science workshop at the Crick

Glass fusion

About art science workshops

Throughout the exhibition, we will be running hands-on workshops that explore the themes of the exhibition and celebrate the links between art and science.

Suitable for all the family, they are a chance to get creative while finding out about Crick research.

Free, booking required.

Explore the themes of our current exhibition in our hands-on workshops that celebrate the links between art and science. Suitable for all the family, they are a chance to get creative while finding out about Crick research.

Join glass artist Susan Purser Hope who will introduce you to microscopes and how they see the cells inside the body. Explore the beauty of microscopy through creating your very own cell out of a variety of glass elements.

The finished results are taken off-site and fired in a kiln. Each individual piece of work is then returned to participants via post to be hung in the window and enjoyed.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance via Eventbrite. Please note all children must be accompanied by an adult, and all adults attending the workshop will need to book a ticket. Suitable for families with children aged 7+.

FREE - booking through Eventbrite required.
