: Imaging the early phase of the HIV lifecycle from fusion to nuclear entry

Thomas J Hope

Professor | Cell and Molecular Biology, Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, Chicago, USA

Tom usually gives an entertaining talk full of fluorescent imaging of viral infections, and he has recently been working on imaging infection and transmission in live animals (monkeys) and human tissue, although he will probably talk mainly about single cell infections in this seminar. He is an advocate of initial HIV infection in TH17 cells in vivo.
